When I get an error in prime I up the CPU volts?
preferably under 65ºC.

you're doing great btw

When you get error in prime, up the voltage a little, but also check on temps.

What's your CPU voltage @?

I do things in reverse as I increased my voltage to where ever I want it at, 1.4v or 1.45v or something like that, and I started to up my fsb until I can't boot into windows or get a BSOD without stability testing and then work my way down until i have a stable cpu.

I am getting errors in prime, what should I do? I am at 3.43Ghz now.

Hold out from all overclocking until you get some MOSFET cooling on there. Enzotech MST-81 should fit.

i swear i thought i have read 890GPA-UD3H...anyways, xd_1771, did you have any bad feedback on this board? it doesn't have cooling, i know, but its 4+1 phase power is as bad as MSI's?

Edit: nevermind, just saw the info on the spreadsheet...

I am at 4.70V on my CPU 3.402Ghz. So Idk I have been backing everything up on the FSB and it doesn't seem to be running stable the farther back I go. I'm sure it would be stable if I dropped it to 3.3 but thats turbo speed so whats the point. This is quite a frustrating activity, I have had to reset the BIOS a couple of times.

Yeah I guess I can get some cooling thats fairly inexpensive. Will it fit with my Hyper212 cooler though?

It was completely my bad for not buying the 890 anyways everyone with the 890 doesn't seem to have problems with it.
It shouldn't interfere. In fact the Hyper 212+ with the air skipping the VRMs would actually be making things worse IMO. At least 70% of VRM failures I have documented have happened with a cooling that deviates from stock (which doesn't blow on VRMs)
