Idea for an Antec 300 Mod

Thread Starter
Hi,

I see someone mod a Antec 900 to have two 240 radiators parallel to each other (like the picture below), I was thinking is it possible to do it with the 300?

Can I cool a AMD 6950 (flashed to 6970), AMD 965 and allow me to overclock them with just two 240 radiators?

The diagram is a rough ms paint job. Thanks.

Welcome to OCN!

Secondly, as the first rad will get the fresh air, and will have more efficiency. The air will be heated by X amount of degrees and wont cool the water as well as it could if it were getting cooler air. I believe the efficiency is 50% for the second rad.

Unless I misunderstood your mod idea, then please correct me lol

Interesting idea, but unless you could somehow make sure that the heated air from the first rad didn't get pulled into the second (through ducting of some sort???), the second radiator would best serve somewhere else where it could get fresh air (like modded to fit on top where the 140mm fan is).

I have an antec300 aswell, and have my 24rad where yours is planned to go. I'm also installing a 360 on the roof, running both rads as output to cool an OC'd Phenom II x4 955, and dual 6970s. The case is good if you know what your doing, but I recommend running the rads in separate areas for safety.

You could have one rear mounted, and one front mounted running both as out puts while having a modified side panel with a better intake setup. A link to my thread is in the signature, I recommend looking at it if you need ideas.

PM me if you need anything, I'm newer to watercooling but I'm learning fast.

That rad setup should work fine with the 300.
