Looking for a good AMD mobo

Thread Starter
I am looking for a good motherboard that supports 140w cpu's. I am really fond of MSI because they helped my quite a bit when i built my first comp. I do not trust newegg or tigerdirect reviews so I thought of posting here with you very helpful people

ATX or mATX? DDR2 or DDR3?

Also I'd stay away from MSI. They have bad VRMs.

If you're gonna be going mATX I would suggest this and some DDR3 RAM:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-190-_-Product

I have it right now and it's a great board.

I love it so far unlocked the 4th core on my X3 720 with no issues. Running stable at 3.45ghz OC on it too.

Asus Crosshair IV Formula? Msi boards are good, but they suck for AMD.

if budget is an issue either get the 890GX or 890FX Biostar boards..they are beefy boards and good OC'ers..

well if money is not a concern then Asus and Gigabyte are solid boards..re:MSI well they are just not my LIKING..more tragic..

I really liked my Gigabyte but they have been extremely slow on bios updates lately 3 months still on a beta bios. I would bet the Asus will be tying them next. Hear nothing but good.

Biostar TA890FXE or the Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5. Either board would be a good choice.

I'm getting a HAF-X so ATX and I have a budget of around $200. Thanks for the feedback

Edit: Anyone got a ETA on bulldozer? I might just end up waiting for that and save up my money for a GTX 580 or 6990.
