Well considering that it is the absolute best quality 750W psu on the market I'm sure it does.

EDIT: Its rated at 60A on the 12V rail

i am having a VERY hard time believing this could have anything at all to do with the PSU... i belive that psu could handle a larger load than 750w if it had too.

Looks like the MSI 470 is bad. Which sucks because there's no way it can be RMA'd. Guess I should have done all this the week I received it. I kind of had a hunch but I was in denial.

It's nice to know that 750W with my system is enough, even with 2 x 470's. Would it still be alright to overclock to say, 4Ghz?

Thanks for all the help.

Yeah, 750w is enough for two overclocked GTX 470's and a 4Ghz i7.

Let us know more about what you find. The 750W supply is barely enough but may not be the problem in your case.

With these cards in SLI they really should be the same cards with the same BIOS updates. Sometimes you can get by with similar cards but its not recommended and leads to compatiblity issues in SLI.

If you got the 470 (open box) I would return it and let them sell it to someone else. If you can, get the same models matched in SLI.

Again, if you are overclocking the cpu now, you will again draw more power from the 750 watts.

I don't know where you got that idea from, 750w is plenty. 650w can power two GTX 470's.

Update: Received my Zotax model 470 today to go along with my Gigabyte 470. I'm also overclocked to 4Ghz. Been gaming for about an hour and a half. Safe to say this issue is gone.

Thanks again.
