Leaving behind most of the fun things on a desktop computer to go read a magazine on a device that cost almost as much is the future of the computer world...

Arguing for what you like (what someone else should like) instead of what is right is, and always has been, pointless.

However, advising someone to try out a different product than that which they are used to because the new product might suit their needs better and perhaps is available for a better price actually leads to something.

Mac vs. PC campaign did not help them establish their cause.
If anything making wild claims and false statments about PC' inability to play music
or display pictures just made them look like a douche.

In fact it is so annoying how they are promoting simplest tasks like listening to music or creating websites on a Mac as some sort of "unique" feature, you could do that on PC's for ages and no one is making a big deal out of it ...

Are you kidding? Mac vs. PC was a wildly successful campaign. So successful that Microsoft decided they had to directly respond with a counter-campaign (the whole "I'm a PC" campaign).

So either you have no idea how to judge marketing successes, or you just view the world through an anti-Mac lens in which Apple can do no right, regardless of what an objective person would say. I'll let you decide which hat fits better.

So I guess we'll add trolling to the list of things you suck at

He says that it's about delighting the consumer, and not taunting specs. He then goes on later in the story to taunt how many apps are available for the iPad. [sarcasm]I'm sure every single one of those apps are "can't live without" and must be taunted to the consumer to show the value in the iPad.[/sarcasm] What a fanboy......

Yeah. Microsoft is so scared now that they're trying to steal Apple store employees to go work at their Microsoft stores which is in response to the hundreds of Apple stores opening up all over the world.
