These threads never go well.

Mac user: "Macs are the best!"
PC user: "Why?"
Mac user: "Because it's Apple!"
PC user: "Explain."
Mac user: "Because....it's Apple"
PC person:

^^^ Sounds a lot like the conversations I've had with friends when I asked for good laptop recommendations (obviously those that recommended Mac books).

I can't stand that people pay 2-3x the price for a similarly spec'd laptop and do the same things any $400-500 laptop can like Youtube, web browsing, movies, and music. The laptops don't even have an outstanding feature/functinoality over any other Windows laptop.

I hate that everyone is brainwashed by Apple.

I don't really see the whole end of PC thing.

User experience is definitely important, but without some fundamental advancement in the hardware tech there's no reason for early adopters to jump aboard, and without them you lose word of mouth, you lose early sales, reviews...just a lot of stuff that tech people do to propel a product into the mainstream where all the money is.

Apple is similar to Call of Duty.

Appeals to a certain demographic which does not know any better.
Appeals to Justin Bieber fanboys.
Appeals to those easily swayed by commercials.
Gives a service or device with only the bare minimum of what's available.

Mac laptops do have very good battery life which is one of the main reasons I think they are actually a decent choice if someone has the money and doesn't plan to game on it. I still really dislike apple and the fanboys that follow but they do have some decent products. Not the be all to end all products some make them out to be but not terrible.

Good battery life!?

Consider that a mac's battery is 50% the laptop!

It's not that it has good battery life. It's just a huge battery. =P
