It's not that it has good battery life. It's just a huge battery. =P
Oh, I realize exactly why they have good battery life. Doesn't change the fact that they do compared to most other laptops. Like I said it all depends on what the user is doing with it. If someone doesn't plan to be near an outlet for long periods of time it could be a great choice. A very expensive choice but it does have its advantages.

When consumers think of mp3 players they think of iPods, when they think of tablet computers they think of iPad, when they think of smartphones they think of iPhone/Blackberry.

I don't know why some of you are so butthurt when it comes to Apple. Apple has simplified the computer for the average Joe/Jane while the PC has remained, in the past 2 decades, extremely complicated to use.

While I agree that Apple's unified streamlined concept is rather totalitarian and the PC is more flexible in terms of customization, in the end, it is ease of use that prevails because a device is supposed to make a person feel smarter, more productive and social status. Apple has achieved all that while the PC trails Apple in every aspect.

I wouldn't be surprised if Apple dives into the console business in the future and gives Xbox a ass whoopin'.

With a Macbook/iMac/Whatever, while Mac OS X is a far superior OS to Windows when you go into technical details, the GUI (IMO at least) is a chunk of crap compared to Windows and compared to KDE or Gnome with tweaks doesn't even compare, the build quality isn't any better than a decent Samsung or any Lenovo laptop (They may use plastic, but its packed tightly enough to not break easily and spread force evenly plus the amount of TIM used isn't massive unlike Apple using an entire tube), so which part is superior?

It makes you feel important.
It makes everything feel easy.
It makes you feel hip and cool.

Experience is very hypothetical, a good way for a salesman to convince you to buy something you don't need, without telling what you're buying. Apple refreshes their product without any upgrade path for the old model so their customers can continue to consume like cattle. Jobbs hates PC savvy people because we can see right through the bull he spews. Apple: Don't asks us what's in it, just buy it.

Please do this Apple and ruin the console gaming market so developers come back to PC. ooh, call it the "Igame" or something equally hackneyed to make sure everyone knows that it's for creative and delicate flowers.

Because after all, people use laptops without access to outlets for 5+ hours all the time right?

Calling anything from Apple ease of use is stupid. All the times I get recommended Mac computers, I always get told I should use the Windows emulator on top of it, thats retarded, I have to use Windows on Mac OS X to get features I need? DUMB.

I'll say this, the Apps aren't the same, but tickle me this... why is it that the big bad con of Xoom is that is unfinished because theres not a lot of apps, but these same people reviewed iPads and didn't care about the lack of apps?

Aside from the iPod/iPhone 4 the rest of Apple's products can burn in the deepest pits of hell for all I care.
I never have liked the Zune nor Droids, aside from the HTC line....So far.

But seriously, that article was just...

The fanboy-ism just gets ridiculous at times from both sides.
However I would so hard if Apple came out with a console called the iPlay or iGame as somebody mentioned below.

That mindless Apple zombie should read this article from CNN. Especially this part:

But then consider that the XOOM has a much better, bigger 720P+ screen compared to the iPad's 1024x768 job (it has less Retinaâ„¢). Then, add far superior cameras (w/flash), stereo speakers (iPad 2 has one), 4G and a micro-USB/SD Card reader. Apple won't say how much RAM the iPad has, but I'm willing to bet it is about half of the XOOM's 1GB.

You see, Apple loves to talk about specs when it is in its best interest (speeds and feeds). There are plenty of specs on size and weight that were repeated over and over:"8.8mm thin", "1.3 lbs". Tech Specs? Lots: "Retina display has 326PPI", "1GHz Dual Core Processor", "64GB of storage", "Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating", "Back camera: Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio; still camera with 5x digital zoom", etc. etc. But ask them how much RAM the iPad has and they'll tell you it doesn't matter.
Maybe he can take his fingers out of his ears and stop screaming "lalalalalala . . . . don't care about specs . . . lalalalalala . . . but Apple delivers a superior EXPERIENCE . . . lalalalala" long enough to appreciate a dose of reality. Not that he'd admit it.

You got it all wrong man.

Apple turns everything to gold, and iOS is just so great compared to Android, that it only requires 512MB ram.

Windows 95 required 64 MB of ram, that was a great OS. Why'd we all switch to XP?

Oh right. Android can have the Music Player on while you're browsing.
