personally i do not buy seagate i would choose between wd 2tb green and samsung f4 2tb it can be had for usually 80 on the egg and sometimes 70 at microcenter.
The wd drive seems to park its heads 2 often but it can be modified with a tool and the samsung's have a firmware update that must be applied. I currently own 2 2tb f4's and they work great i just prefer to stay away from seagate due to 2 many nightmare stories just my personal opinion

Umm, that cost more than the WD green and Seagate.

Since both are the same price, I would get the new Hitachi 5400rpm over the Samsung. Higher density and faster than the Samsung.

Well, I just linked the drive, I should have linked where I purchased it. I paid $69.99 at MicroCenter. Seems the price has gone up $10 already http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0349903
