LOL I was actually gonna buy both of those for the same price, however I was gonna buy the 955 locally to get it for $130. I geuss I can have it brought to me for the same price thanks!

someone else mentioned the hd 4850 in an earlier reply but since then i decided I'll just shell out a little extra $$$ for a nicer one, Does anyone know how the gts450 compares to the hd 5770? would the hd5770 really worth the extra $10?

update: I just ordered the corsair psu&ram combo from newegg. and ordered my nzxt m59 from amazon

I think you should consider an i5 2300 if you are going to spend that much on a cpu.
Woops didn't notice I am in the amd section.Sorry.

The HD5770 is better than the GTS450 (I'm only saying that because I have two 5770 Flex's crossfired :G) seriously though it is slightly better if you are going to run multiple monitors eventually.

Both are mid ranged graphics cards, not bad at all but definitely not the best.

HEy everybody! Just had a couple questions about my first build, first are all of these components compatable? I already have a hand-me-down harddrive, but will all of these parts+my harddrive be enough for a full working rig? oh, and can I run this setup with out a cpu cooler?

my plans
AMD Phenom II X2 565 Callisto
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103912

a nzxt m59 case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811146058

asus mobo
ASUS M4A88T-M
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131657

geforce 9800 gt
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814133308

raidmax 630watt psu
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817152035

2 gigs of ddr3 kingston
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820104216

I actually planned execute this build in another few weeks after I had secured more funds, but my laptop just fried : coincidentally 2 days after I got laid off . soooo now im just gonna have to make do and add ram/fans/cooler later.

so let me know what you think if you have any comments/advice/tips/knowledge
Dont bother with a better CPU u can unlock that 1 to a quad, and as far as graphivs cards go that one is pretty low end so either get one now thats cheaper and upgrade later or get a good one now.
