[directron] $75 Thermalright Silver Arrow Dual Fan CPU Cooler - Page 2

I got it because the best reviewers seem to agree its the best cooler@cooling. Now it may only be the best by 1 deg, but @ the high end the best is still the best.

It also comes with quieter, better fans and 2x 140 mm fans. For me that's what makes it a better value.

Lets not forget that the Noctua is patterned after the 1st Thermalright twin tower cooler. I figure that since they were first this would probably not be a bad choice.

I don't know how you garnered that it came with better fans... It definitely isn't better overall, so it's still not the best. Having a DNF on a test bench is not a good sign of overall cooling. Temperatures were also a good deal more consistent with the Noctua, while there was obvious fluctuation with the Thermalright.

The fans are 4 pin pwm, so thats better. They are also much quieter for the same airflow, that's definately better too.

According to SPCR the mounting is not better or worse than the Noctua.

I don't care which one you buy it's basically the same class, but Thermalright was 1st with the design and does have better fans.

Great find, that'll beat out the NH-D14 in the argument now if one would go for price to performance

Sadly that coupon is over, but this still is the cheapest you can get a top rated twin tower cooler including dual 140mm fans.
