alrighty, i've done a lot of research on the phone and its hardware. the cpu it comes with ships in a variety of frequency, between 400mhz to 768 mhz, and the manufactures of the phone locks in the frequency they want, based on "estimated" battery life, so the cpu for the most part is capable of running at max speeds.
i've cranked it up to 680 mhz from 528mhz with setcpu, and have been running the stress tester that came with it. now the question is, how long do i let the stress tester run? its been going for about 3 hours now, do i treat it like a desktop OC and let it run for 8 to 24 hours? or should i be like "eh it passed 3 hours, good enough for me?"
before i ran the stress, i gave angry birds another go at the higher Clock and the addition of opengl 1.1, and it definitely ran loads faster, it was still a bit laggy, but it was more playable than before.
and is there a paid version to the game, cause the version i have has ads when i start the game and during game play, the version i had on the stock rom, didn't have ad's, why does this version have it? cause i'm not on a stock and locked tmobile rom? i've looked in the market, but i didn't find a paid version or anyway to tell it i'm on an actual tmobile device with tmobile service.
