problem with first time boot using crossfire 5870s

Thread Starter
Alright guys so I have no idea what is going on with my build right now. I just added a second 5870 to my rig. Now whenever I try to boot, it starts up but after the first splash screen, the image on my monitor dissappears and then my gpu fans jump up to max for no reason. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I tried using all 4 of my dvi ports and none of them worked. Any help would be great, I've never even heard of this happening before.

so I just tested both cards running by themself. The new one works fine but my old card is doing the same error by itself that the 2 cards were doing in crossfire. What could have happened to my card to make it freak out like this?
