what ram is best (1333/1600/etc...) for the gigabyte 890fxa ud5 mobo and an 1100T? it needs to use up 4 ram slots and 8 gigs please

I would go with 4x 2gb 1333 sticks,

1600 if you want to spend the extra, but there isnt much of a speed difference unless you want to overclock.

If you are going to overclock, 2x4gb 1600mhz (The memory controller seems to handle it just fine).

If you are not, 2x4gb 1333 (stock speed for the processor)


Just try to get the lowest latency memory you can afford
I would personally suggest either G.Skill Ripjaws 7-8-7-24 1600mhz or the G.Skill ECO 7-7-7-21 1600mhz kit.

I don't see the point of going with 1333 ram when the 1600 stuff costs almost the same price and you can get 4 Gig of CL8 stuff for $60.

This. Or you can get 4 gig of 1600 CL9 stuff for same or lower price than most 1333 stuff, and many kits are capable of 1600 CL8 easily.
