High temp with Rasa 750 RX360 kit?

Hi guys,

I'm concerning about this new installed kit and my cpu temp. Please help me I could do anything about it to lower the temp down would be great.

Ambient temp: 23ºC
CPU idle temp: 38-40ºC
CPU load temp: 58-60ºC (running Prime95 for 30mins)
Fans: running at highest speed with 3 Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850rpm (Pulling air out the case) with Rad on top case (Corsair 800D), others are stock fans.

I have Artic MX-4 applied with a pea size method. I hope I got all the bubble out of the loop (I turn/shake/test my loop for about 16 hours). I using distilled water with 1 Dawn drop in it. What else can be done?

Thanks for reading. I'll post some photos later on tonight.

First off the slower fans that came with the kit should be pushing the air and the Scythe Gentle Typhoons should be pulling,
Because the ones with the kit are only 1700rpm.

You may want to try posting to the [Official] XSPC Rasa 750 RS/RX120/240/360 Kit Club, lots of great folks over there that know this kit & its siblings inside and out. I can tell you that the block is known to not be very flat and can have several ripples in its surface, causing voids and leading to higher than expected temps, lapping is the "cure" for this.

Those temps are typical of a 4.0+ ghz clock my 930 is at 4.2 and i run high 60's with warm ambient temps if I cool down the room the temps fall to the 50's.

You meant by Push/Pull method? I couldn't get the other 3 fans to fit inside the case, so that I can go only 3 fans on rad. Should I change my fan pulling air into the case (instead of sucking it out)?

Ya, I've been reading that Official thread, but there are so many posts, I couldn't keep track, but I could try more.

About lapping the block. I've done some lapping on my previous cpu cooler. I thought this XSPC block was perfect when I peeled of the plastic cover.

So, your saying my temp is alright? Some is saying I could get better.

Updated: I just removed the back cover plate from the case. My CPU temp drop dramatically down by 10ºC.

Now, running Prime95 for 1 hour and CPU load is about 50ºC. I'm pretty happy with this temp atm.

Right on. Also, my block would pretty smooth to start with and satisfactorily passed the razor test.
