Revert to Factory defaults? [Solved]

Ok, so I recently purchased the following:

Asus P6X58D Premium MB
i7 950 CPU
3x2GB Corsair Memory

Everything works great, even overclocked to 4.2ish without a problem, thanks to these forums. Now, I found during my everyday use, nothing special, I don't need these speeds, though it comes in handy with the occasional video/graphics rendering.

That being said, I saved the profile in the Asus TurboV application and (thought) I reverted everything back to factory defaults for everyday use (browsing, college, minor gaming, music, etc). Now, before I ever touched a setting my CPU speed hovered around 1.6ishGHz @ 0-1% cpu usage. Now, it bounces between 2.2 - 3.1GHz @ 0-1% cpu usage.

Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt that this is perfectly fine and won't hurt anything, however, I want it the way it was on first boot, before Windows was even installed.

How could/should I go about this? I didn't dig into the BIOS yet, should there be a 'default' reset for voltages etc in there hiding somewhere? Is there a website perhaps that has these settings listed I could reference with what I currently have?

Thanks guys (and gals!).

You'll have to go into the BIOS, there will be an option to put everything back to default, usually on the last page of options.

Thank you. I figured as much, but being the 'computer' is less than two weeks old I didn't want to go digging into unfamiliar territory yet. Thanks again!

Update..

So, that didn't work. I'm still seeing idle 'speeds' of ~2.5 - 3.2GHz. Its as if 'Turbo Boost' is stuck in the on position. Any more suggestions?

Scratch that, ignore my stupidity. I had changed my Windows 'Power Settings' to 'High Performance' and thats where it was done. Changing it back to 'Balanced' did the trick.

What exactly is the difference? Will I see a difference in performance when say playing an intense game (Crysis, etc) or will balanced just ramp up the speeds to suit?
