Agreed go for the GTX480, I bought it from OCUK at a killer price last week. It matches a GTX570 and is a lot cheaper.

Forget about the the GTX560. And anything else for that matter.

ive had a bit of a look arround at some reviews and benchmarks and i think id be stupid not to go for the 480 realy! ill just have to get my old kit sold within the next few weeks or ill spend my money on something stupid and have to deal with my piece of !@*$ untill i get my bonus in july!

would it be worth looking for a seccond hand card to keep the price down or should i be looking at getting a new one? ive never got seccond hand parts before but if it makes the difference between getting that card and having to go for a lesser model it might be worth the risk....

Can't beat this deal! Best to keep it in the OCN family, I always say.

I'd get the 6950 2GB here for £205. But at that resolution, you should seriously consider this. It will easily munch everything and its quite cheap and a good card. The GTX 560 isn't all that special considering similarly priced cards can outperform it.

I always buy second hand cards, but for £195 personally I would just pay it. That way you get a 3 year warranty and that makes all the difference in my opinion. A GTX480 + a warranty for £195 is awesome.

The problems is the customs import tax, plus an additional £8 handling fee. It's just not worth ordering overseas with the current strength of our currency.

i see your point here but if im going to spend the money i want something that will last a few years so im realy looking for something what will waaaaay outdo what i need for the moment. i guess il just have to see what i can sort out but 205 for a 6970 is also a tempting prospect!

For £250 on Aria, they're selling GTX570's, which are as fast as a GTX480 and OC pretty well ;D

UPDATE: im currently just waiting for the money to come into my account then im gonna buy my gpu (should be this week or next)
after much concideration and research i have narrowed it down to two cards:
Msi 6850 Cyclone
Msi 460 Cyclone

6850
its slightly more expensive for the card but not by much and should i want to in the future i can run two of these without needing to upgrade my psu

460
slightly cheaper and i prefer the nvidea control panel but i would need a new psu if i want to sli it at a later date!

Both cards seem to give about the same fps and will more than cover my current requirements for graphics!

unless someone can sway me one way or the other im gonna flip a coin when it comes to order day so what do you think?
