They say that error code is a server timeout. Try this step one of the posters recommended.

"Please try these steps:

Clear your cookies/temp internet files on your computer, log out of all passport services.

Login to Xbox.com

Sign in with your account

Clear your download queue on xbox.com https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Download/Queue you can always restart any downloads later.

This is the first thing you can try, if that does not work, you should attempt to clear the cache of your storage device:

http://support.xbox.com/pages/xbox-3...earsystemcache

To clear the cache

My Xbox -> System Settings -> Memory, highlight a storage device, hit the Y button, and select "Clear system Cache"

After clearing the cache lets delete any potentially corrupt bits of the update:

To do so, go to My Xbox -> System Settings -> Memory. Anywhere on the screen (highlighting "All Devices" is fine), press:

1. Left Bumper

2. Right Bumper

3. X

4. Left Bumper

5. Right Bumper

6. X You'll be prompted to delete the system update.

After you delete the update your system will restart.

When it attempts to connect to LIVE again hit B to decline then skip update.

Turn off your console.

Make sure your HDD is correctly attached:

http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/...riveisattached

Go to http://support.xbox.com/pages/xbox-3...m-updates.aspx on your computer and download the update to a compatible USB drive.

Plug the usb drive into the console's usb port.

Turn console on.

This will install the update via USB, bypassing any potential issues where it could be an issue of server time out during download"

Is your 60gb hdd an official MS x360 hdd? The file that permits recognition to the 360, is it the same as what you've installed on the HDD and did the file you flashed the drive with, contain an older update in it or was it a file that contains only what's needed for the xbox to recognize it? I know that some HDD are not suitable for the HDD hack, assuming that your's is one that is suitable for it, I don't see why it would be the HDD.

The HDD's I purchased from ebay were non-oem and flashed for me. The one for the fatbox is a Western digital and the other is a Samsung. What brand hdd are you using?

Ahh, my bad. Helps to read every post, lol.

Anyway, I think it's a tad bit strange to run into this error....but, you'll figure it out.

Yes.. That's why I know its a hard drive issue... I guess I can call Microsoft and confirm this, but I'm almost positive that's my problem...
