Via HD Audio Power Saving

Thread Starter
I have an Asus M4A785TD-V EVO with the Via HD Audio codec VT1708S. It apparently has an audio power saving feature that turns off the codec chip after 5 minutes. This create a pop sound on my speaker everytime the chip turns off and on. This is very annoying. I have looked into the device manager to turn off this feature, but I can't find any option for this. I have also looked under the advanced power settings for the power profile, but couldn't find anything relating to audio power saving. Anyone got a fix for this?

I believe that there is an option to disable this either in the Bios (might be EPU controlled) or the VIA utility. Not 100% sure since its been a year since I upgraded Mobos

It's you again! Lol. You are like my personal tutor on this forum. I have checked the via utility. I will check the bios now.

I have just looked in the bios, don't see any option to disable via hd audio codec power saving. I do see acpi apic support in the bios. I have read somewhere that this can cause the problem I am having. Is this true?
