Raid-0 with Agility and Agility 2...is it possible

I was told by ocz that the agility has a indilinx controller and that the Agility 2 has a SandForce SF-1200 so because of the two different chips you absolutely can not raid these 2 drives together.

I've heard of ppl raiding different drives together so I'm wondering if this guy is right now wrong?

the guy is wrong, they can be RAID'd just fine even though they are not exactly the same

From what I have read on the OCZ forums posted by OCZ mods etc, its not a good idea to RAID drives from different gens.

You can run them in RAID.... but you shouldn't. You will be crippling your Agility 2's performance.
Once again...

Well I took the plunge earlier and it didn't work. I tried it 4 differrent times. I set it up in bios, made the raid with ctl I. And I proceeded to install windows. No matter what I did a message came up that said something like...an exceptable partition could not be found on this drive.....so whatever

Did you make sure they were wiped clear of any data before making the array. Also you must delete any partitions and create one with Win7 install (assume your using that). If it doesn't have two partitions to install the OS, it will have issues from the get go. Also make sure no other drives are connected. It will have install issues also.

Yes to the clean part. No to the multiple partitions. No to the unplug everything else. I'm going to see if anyone wants to trade ssd's with me so they will match.
