Rii Mini = iPazzPort ???

I just got my mini wireless Keyboard for sitting on the couch and watching Netflix.

I ordered a Rii Mini from Amazon a month ago and it shipped from Hong Kong.
Ok so no big deal there, I got it on sale for $29.99 where everywhere else is selling for $45+ so the wait was no problem.

The mail man came today and had me sign for a small cardboard box.
I open it up and it was like taking out an oem dvd drive wrapped in cheap bubble wrap with nothing but a small booklet and a usb cable.

The Keyboard has iPazzPort on the front and no sign of Rii Mini written on it anywhere.

Is this a Knockoff? What should I do?

Unisen, the ipazzport manufacturer, is actually the developer and patent holder of the unit you received and the technology inside of it. As in many cases of Chinese manufactured devices, ideas are stolen and slightly tweaked to create additional products and confuse consumers.

While you did purchase what you thought was a Rii, you certainly have the right to submit a claim with the seller and return the product. However, the ipazzport is a fantastic device, works better than the Rii and, obviously, is more affordable.

The packaging is cheaper on the ipazzport and the directions and inserts less informative and that is why it can be had for $29 instead of $39 for a "real" Rii.

The seller of your unit is notorious for listing one product and shipping another. Feedback on Amazon for them shows you aren't the only one in this predicament. If the unit works as you hoped, I'd keep it, because attempting to return it to Hong Kong will create another 30+ day wait and you may never get a Rii and if you do it might not get to you until August!

Thanks Reggie, you created an account here on OCN just to reply to my post? I certainly appreciate it.

I was playing around with it, and I like it and works fine, although I do have to plug the receiver in the front of the case and make sure it has a straight shot to the iPazzport (I have to make sure my Desk Chair is pushed in all the way under the desk).

My cats love the Laser pointer too.

Welcome to OCN and thanks again!
