Got a web hosting hardware problem

Thread Starter
Guys I really like my system. I made sure I have more than enough muscle in this beast to host a handful of merchant sites and still play Dirt-2 on max everything. The only problem is that I want more bandwidth out the back. I have dual gigabyte NICs on the board with teaming, but I think I would rather not depend on them for hosting needs as I have little faith in these network adapters. I could easily hook a better card up to a regular pci slot, at least I think so. Thing is that I have trifire going with hd5870s and well, I can't get anything else in there lol. Any ideas on maybe a pci ribbon soes I can maybe build a little box for the network adapter and set it up outside the case.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but I want to keep my third card it just makes my rig feel so manly lol!

BTW I haven't got around to updating my sig. This rig has been rebuilt and now rocks a 990x @ a rock stable 4.3 with HT on. Memory is at 1600. All I need to do is throw a few decent HDDs in there for server space.

I would also like to hear any professional's opinion on fast stable HDDs, preferably at the 1tb level.

Thanks in advance guys your always ready with an answer, you know I luv ya.

Dual purpose 'gaming rig' on a production system = please give me your 'company' name so that I'll never purchase any sort of managed service from you.

Not trying to be offensive or anything.
What exactly are you trying to host? Your ISP is your limiting factor..
Also the fact that it isn't in a data center means everyone has a bunch of extra hops to go through..
