What psu should i get?

Due to the fact that i am australian, The only website that i can purchase parts from is http://www.mwave.com.au or http://www.pccasegear.com (power supply page is here: http://www.mwave.com.au/ATX-BTX-Powe...ies-c-3404.asp)

Basically, i am running a medium'ish end gaming rig, that requires a new psu because i am purchasing a gtx460 (my current one is a crappy Thermaltake litepower 450 that came with my Thermaltake v3 case)

current psu's that i have come up with are these

http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-34040507...ns_2x_6+2_PCIe
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12597
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12402

My maximum price limit is around $140AUD and a modular power supply would be better as my case doesnt have much space for hiding cables etc.

Current specs are.

Motherboard: Gigabyte 880gma-ud2h
Ram: 4gb corsair DDR3 1333mhz
CPU: Amd Phenom II x6 1055T (125w)
GFX: GTX460 (Probably a gigabyte Super-OC)
Hdd: 3 x 200gb sata and 1 x 200gb ide

I would assume any of those psu's will be able to run this setup, I am just not sure because of the 12v rails etc.

You could probably honestly get away with that 450 Thermaltake that you have.

But if I had to pick from those three.. (I can't click on them while at work, so I'm going by the URLs)

I would get the OCZ 550W.

Apparently the 550watt fatal1ty is a pretty dodgy power supply, i will probably go with the 700watt ModXstreme, will this be able to run the GTX460?

Yeah, easily. It would probably run 3 of them.

I just looked at the site.

Why have you not considered this one?

http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-34040232..._Card_Connecto

That's a very high quality PSU at a great price. It's plenty (and some) to run your system.

I would opt for this, you would be fine with a 400w PSU but there's nothing semi-modular in that range.

I don't recommend the ModXStream 700W actually. Something about the 700W versions of the StealthXStream and ModXStream lines causes them to have a higher failure rate than other units within the same product lines.
The Antec Neo Eco 520 would be my recommendation -- http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=16290
It's hard to find good modular PSUs within that wattage range. The Antec TruePower New TP-550 recommended above would be great though. The OCZ Fatal1ty 550W is OK but not as good, and it's not really a 550W unit either (closer to a 500W unit).

Well what is the balance between the importance of money and modularness to you?

http://www.mwave.com.au/sku-34040540...0_pin_compatib

this is a sweet little (overkill) modular PSU, that's a paltry 5 bux over your budget (dunno if you're counting tax and shipping).

On the other hand, if you're feeling the pocket pinch you could go with this little number

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=16290

and power your rig with more than decent power for less than half the cost, suffering from total non-modularness though.

So what's the most important to you?

Well with my current power supply i have a fair amount of unused cables just sitting there, and there is really nowhere for me to put it as all of my harddrive bays are filled. Which is why i was looking for a modular one, so i can only plug in the cables that i require

i never even saw this one
