Nvidia 6800 fan replacement

All right, so here's the deal: I'm borrowing an old 6800 that came from my parents' Dell computer. Given how dusty it was, I was surprised it worked! That said, there's a problem with the heatsink's fan: It won't spin. GPU-Z reports that the fan speed does indeed change, but, upon further inspection, it seems as though the fan itself is not properly inserted: It scrapes against the shroud if you try to manually spin it, and it's actually kind of loose, and it tilts.

Would I have to replace the entire heatsink? Can I just reposition the fan somehow? I'd rather not spend money if possible--I'm using the 6800 while my 560 Ti SOC is being RMA'd (hopefully I don't end up with a $260 paperweight!)--but if I need to, it's probably better to know. (My parents never used it, but all the same, I feel really bad about it, and if necessary I'd just get them a new one, but it's a Dell Dimension with a PSU that I suspect is under 400 watts, so that would be kind of difficult. I thought it was a 4700 or a 4800, but the CPU is a 3.2GHz Pentium 4, so I'm not actually positive on that point.)

Might be a shot bearing on that fan. If you can find a small enough fan you might be able to rip out the stock and glue it in place.

Or replacements are cheap and easily found:

Yeah, that might be the easiest thing to do. I'm gonna call up a friend on Monday to see if he can look at it, and go from there.
