Actually BF P4F was supposed to be a free remake of BF2 for general gamers. Though, in my opinion, it failed pretty badly.

I might go give it another whirl once I find out they have fixed the terrible lag I experienced a while back. It'd be slick to have for a low-end computer or laptop should one arise in my future.

Then again, I have BF2... and that runs on what now are cheap hardware...

IMO its the best free to play shooter out there. It's pretty much a really watered down version of BF2.

If you need your shooter fix I'd definitely recommend this.

There is a cash shop, but you can also get the items with currency earned by participating in matches for a set amount of days. It isnt hard to get this currency either.
