Excaliber PC reliable?

Hey guys, well. Just got $500. Going to buy what I can for my SB build, it's almost done.

The ASUS P8P67 Deluxe is available for pre-order on ExcaliberPC, but I've never shopped there so I'm unaware if it's a reliable site. Just wondering if anyone has had good experiences with them before. The site has a lot of seller reviews but I'm just playing safe.

Thanks.

Newegg. Best Shipping especially if it's free.

They aren't available to even pre-order on Newegg yet.

Wait it out

The egg will have them long before Excalibur will.

The M4E hit the egg three hours ago and sold out in 6 minutes

They have a few P67 solutions, the Asus board you are looking at is nothing any of those boards can do if you are in that much of a hurry, trust me. I know many who have them.

A UD4 or UD5 would serve you better from what I am seeing plus they a standard BIOS as well ...

But the Asus is solid as long as you don't go to extreme on it

best of luck

Well, I am in a hurry. I was just going Asus because I heard the UEFI bios is very nice for overclocking. I'm not doing anything "extreme". Just looking to take an i7-2600k to 4.4+.

i doubt a smaller west-coast reseller's "pre-order" will be any faster than newegg when the boards are actually available

UEFI and traditional BIOS will give the same results....EFI just looks pretty and has mouse support, thats it.

the giga boards are all black too biggrin.gif

Cool. Any recommendations on boards then? I'm not willing to go over $250 for a mobo.

Go for the DELUXE I support it thumb.gif

Do note, Not sure what bios verison is going to shipped with the new revisions but make sure you update for PLL voltage which helps alot for overclocking past 4.3ish.

LOL

Dude they will do 4.6 on auto overclocking just click the button and your there

Welcome to the new generation ... and the UEFI... meh... I had a WS Revolution

it is nothing to write home about TBH ... I prefere the satandad personally, but it is pretty

It's all chip here unless you are wanting to take it well into the 5ghz range

UD4 or UD5

I personally would go with a used proven clocker for the CPU

New is rolling the dice
