I've seen pretty much the exact same thing ages ago. Also it doesn't matter how good it is because it'll almost never be implemented like this in a game, they'll only be small crappy effects.

Sadly yes. You would need either like 3 GTX580s or 2 Intel I7 2600K overclocked to like six GHZ each to be able to calculate that amount of physics and have a constant frame rate....

Actually if you read the outline for Apex framework it's largely scalable on both the cpu and gpu and I highly doubt there cards were overclocked at the booth so why should the consumers?

Apex = At The Peak of, or the highest point of.....

Destruction well, that would be your video card dying a horrible death after 30 minutes...

Not really, you're being over dramatic. We've seen showing off similar technologies on single GTX 480s.

The RocketSlede tessellation demo for instance only used a GTX 480 and can run flawlessly on last-gen CUDA enabled cards.

Physics calculations aren't that hard to do anymore.
