EK CPU water Block HELP. (UPDATE) - Page 9

Yes the only one that can resolve the situation is an actual EK member.
I for my part am strongly considering sending my HF Full Nickel rev.2 (jet blade 1 stock) back.

Only problem is that their is no block out there which provides the same flow and cooling ability as the EK Supreme HF:(!!

Agreed about the EK member. Also about the supremacy of the Supreme tongue.gif

I'm glad I went with the copper, and if you send yours back (though not sure who will accept returns on used WC gear; you're probably best to sell it) I would suggest simply getting a pure copper version- all the performance and none of the worry.

Yeah it would be cool if it was so easy^^
My block actually hasn´t been in use yet.
Also all the rest of my WC gear is Nickel theme so a copper block will not fit in.
I originally wanted a full loop and chose the Supreme HF cause of its low restriction.

I will most probably get a single loop for the CPU and go with the Kryos XT from Aquacomputer.I had it before and sent it back cause of the high restriction but by then I hadn´t realized the EK could be harmful to my whole loop.

So back to Kryos XT it is^^ This block is nickel plated messing ...no problems have been reported so far with it.

EK resides in slovenia...I live in Europe I am not sure about your knowledge of European countries but slovenia is known to be poor and fundless..no surprise this happened.

Honestly I you don't really see the copper base with the mounting bracket, at least I don't, GPU blocks are a different story, but CPU in copper should be fine if it doesn't bother you.

As to Slovenia, I'm not familiar, but I don't think that's much of an excuse, EK has been wildly successful in the last 12 months, and quality issues weren't a problem before. I'm not going to speculate on causes, but it's pretty clear something's wrong with the plating; whether it's bad materials or process is really only able to be said by EK.

Get the Rasa. It's got higher flow then the ek and is on par temp wise... and you can't see the copper base anyways.

Pretty sure every time I've used Tygon it got cloudy from the dye. I don't use dye or Tygon now so I can't comment beyond that. As to the plexi, I'd be curious to see that thread, any idea when it was timewise?

The Rasa is definitely not on par with the HF Full Nickel Temp wise.
Also the it is a bit more restrictive.

Is there a block with Nickel Plating that will provide the cooling performance and flowrate of the EK Supreme HF Full Nickel?

If there isn´t my only chance will either be a single loop with the Kryos XT(Nickel plated Messing) because it is very restrictive.

Or the EK Supreme HF Full Copper and just have the top Nickel plated.

No, there isn't currently a block that can match the HF tempwise, period. Nickel or otherwise.

UPDATE:

Ok I got an emal from EK they want the block back to inspect. They set up a pickup from DHL and it also says that they will be shipping a all copper base to me like I had asked. So there must be more people contacting them about this to get them to change. Not sure but oh well.
