Hey,

finally, after changing some things I can push my CPU more than 4.5 GHz.

I'm testing 4.8GHz atm.

So far:

I ran prime95 Small FTTs on following voltages:

1.36
1.35
1.34
1.33
1.328 (This one is what I am now)
on 4.8GHz.

The weird thing is, the temps is ALMOST exact the same on all of the voltages. 71-73C using p95 small ftts (I know it will never reach these temps gaming etc)

Is this safe temps? If I can't get them any lower.

When I ran 4.5GHz I had it on 1.28V and it was max 64C after 12 hours P95.

looks fine to me, I would stay below 70C though. voltages are fine

for me, linpack draws more power and temps than Prime95... maybe try that too?

I'd try to aim more for staying under 85C.. Anything else is fine.

I think my voltages are low, but still I get these high temps.

I will try if I can run lower than 1.328V but I doubt it.

But if I can't succeed and will run with 70-71C max, will this be safe? Will never reach this when gaming ofc but just to be sure..

You can go all the way to 95C before the CPU throttles.. Then at 98C it'll shut off lol.

70-71C is pretty hot for a D14, I get 64-66C at 4.8 and 1.36v on my Xigmatek Aegir.

Staying under 85C!?

Then I'm more than fine

I just want a safe OC for 24/7. I don't want to be "too" careful tho.. I want some power

But still want to keep my chip for some time...

Maybe it's my settings. Althought before I changed to all this, I couldn't run more than 4.5GHz.

Settings:

Internal PLL Overvoltage: Enabled

Enhanced Intel Speedstep Technology: Disabled

VRM Fixed Frequency Mode: 350

Phase Control: Extreme

Duty Control: Extreme

CPU Current Capability: 110%

Load Line Calibration: Ultra High

CPU Voltage: 1.328V as mentioned above

CPU Spread Sprectrum: Disabled

Intel Virtualization Technology: Disabled

CPU C1E: Disabled

CPU C3 Report: Disabled

CPU C6 Report: Disabled

All these settings are taken from the sticky in the Intel - General.

As mentioned, before these settings I couldnt get pass 4.5GHz, it simply wouldn't boot however much voltage I gave it.

You're also using a 2600K - There might be a diffrence here.

pretty much staying under 80C is a good goal. the higher the temp the shorter the life span.
