Want to install a side fan on window panel PC-7FN

post #1 of 3

Hey guys,

I have the Lian Li PC-7FNW being delivered. It has a side window panel but there is no prebuilt fan mount on it. I want to install a fan (120mm or 140mm) but I would have to drill four holes for the fan mount screws and a circular vent so that the fan can exhaust the air. Now, I'm really limited to tools, got few screw drivers. I don't have a drill. I'm guessing the side window is a plexiglass. Does any body have any ideas as to how a person limited with tools can effectively mod the window?

Get someone to lend you drill and/or a Dremel. Drill is a must for this if you want to look clean (up to my knowledge at least);

You can use a Dremel or Router with a circular attachment or a 4.5" hole saw and a drill. Those are probably the most common methods you'll see here. I've seen people use ONLY a screw driver as well and it usually doesn't turn out all that great. See if you can find someone to loan any of the those things to you.

edit: Another option is to purchase the sidepanel pre-made: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811995061
