Building a 2k Video Editing System Opinions wanted!

Hey guys

So I have put together a system exclusively for HD video editing that will be running an older version (cs3) of premiere pro. (May upgrade to CS5 in the future) I will be also be overclocking. I am not sure on the video card but everything else in my mind is pretty solid.

Here are the specs. (prices in Aus dollars)

CPU - i7 2600k - $399.00 3.4ghz (O/C to 4.6ghz maybe?)
CPU cooler - Noctua NH-D14 (if it fits) - $108.00

Motherboard - P8P67 Deluxe - $315.00

Ram - 16GB - 2 X G Skill Ripjaws kits 8G(2x4G) DDR3 1600Mhz PC12800 RL 9-9-9-24(CL9D-8GBRL) = $242.00

Video Card - VGA GF GTX460 1G DDR5 EE SC (SuperClocked, External Exhaust) Edition - $245.00

Case - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK Black Steel - $185.00
Power supply - Antec TruePower 650w - $123.00

SSD - WINDOWS/PROGRAMS - OCZ 120G Vertex II E Series SSD - $265.00
SSD - ACTIVE MEDIA - OCZ 60G Vertex II E Series SSD - $139.00
STORAGE = Western Digital 2TB Green 64MB SATAII WD20EARS - $95.00

Operating system - Windows 7 64bit - $103.00

Total = $2219.00

Another video card I have found is the
Sapphire ATI HD5770 Vapor-X OC Ed 1G GDDR5 PCI-E as it's only 149.00.
(Not quite as fast as the gtx 460 but almost $100.00 cheaper.)
or
this one suggested to me MSI GTX560 Twin Frozr II OC - $289.00
(quite a bit faster I suspect for only $45.00 more!)

I already have duel 22" monitors and everything else a pc needs to run

Any suggestions on a different video card or anything else?

Thanks!

Where are you located? EDIT i see you put AUS dollars...

then maybe another video card you can never have enough monitors.

Have you thought of a Blu-Ray drive? that is if you are doing blu ray media.

If you are building a quad core system with more than 4GB of ram, you should really get Premiere CS5, as it is 64 bit...

I'd go with more RAM.
Either this 9 cas kit or this 7 cas kit.

Located in Brisbane. Yeah I would love CS5.. Won't be straight away as I don't have a spare $1000.00 plus laying around!

"I'd go with more RAM."

I'm buying two of those kits 2x4gb + 2x4gb = 4x4gb sticks totaling 16gb RAM!

Are you sure you want to go with the Noctura heatsink and not an H70?

Exfiltrate - I am using a Canon DSLR 550d. Shooting at 1920x1080 AVCHD format.

iGustopher - I have not looked much further than the Noctua NH-D14 for the fact that it seems to do a great job as long as it fits!

how much does a GTX560 cost there? the 460 1GB is a great card, but if a 560 isnt much more, its much more powerful. if the programs you use support GPU acceleration, the 560 will help a lot.

Might consider waiting for AMD Vision FX (Bulldozer)
8 true(ish) cores will absolutely kick 4 cores/8 HT
