I THOUGHT someone stole my 570... (Update)

So today, my ASUS ENGTX570 was supposedly delivered to me, back from RMA (brand new one) and was just left at the front door. FedEx tracking says it was 'left at the front door, no signature required', and I live in an apartment complex. I called FedEx and they will investigate the issue and call me back as soon as possible, I also emailed ASUS support... will they replace it? I was home all day too! The damn driver didn't knock, ring the door bell, or anything! So frustrated and depressed now...

I also had no idea when to check out front because the damn tracking didn't update til like 20min ago, and it says it was delivered at 6:43pm! Ugh..

Asus won't replace it, it's not their fault.

I'd bloody well make the courier replace it though. What sort of idiot leaves a package outside your door in an apartment complex without knocking?

There's a possibility that if Asus had insurance on the package, you might be able to get another one. I've heard of this happening before, and 98% of the time FedEx/UPS will do nothing to get you another GPU. It really depends on the contract Asus has with FedEx.

I doubt ASUS paid insurance for it, so I think you might be out of luck.

Personally, I always wait for the courier to arrive if I know a package is being dropped off.

I guess they don't, I don't know though. They just shipped it out without notifying me, I only knew because I kept checking the repair status.

I had the exact same issue with dell about 3 years ago on a 24" monitor. No signature required for something that pricey? Ya gotta be kidding me. Dell had the insurance and UPS had to pay up.

This is a tragedy. If you end up not getting a replacement I say we start a fund and get everyone to pitch in some dolllars. Someone stealing GPU's makes my heart hurt.
