Human's make mistakes too ya know. You try delivering several hundred packages a day and not get a single address wrong. I guarantee you can't do it.

On topic, congrats OP. I'm glad this situation had a positive outcome.
In my experience, most delivery drivers make way more mistakes than is needed. Honestly, it's not hard to get an address right. And if you're not sure about it, don't just leave expensive items all over the place. If they can't get fired for doing things like this, what motivation would they have to ever do a good job and put in any effort? Sounds like they can pretty much do what they want, and their company has their back. Call corporate, and be irate enough, and things will get done. I may be a prick, but if I get bad service at a McDonald's even, I'm going to complain. If you can't do a good job, do something else. I'm sorry, but if you can't get an address right, that's just sad. I bet if the driver was showing up for a job interview or something he would have had no trouble finding the correct place to be. And also, I've hand courier before, and delivered, on foot, to hundreds of client selected addresses every day. So I know it's not THAT difficult to get an address correct. Heck, they are probably using GPS for god sakes.

My driver's rarely ever get package deliveries wrong but it does happen. And you can call corporate all you want, driver's are union workers. All drivers, sorters, preloaders, airdock workers, pickoffs, e-reg drives, e-reg throwers, etc are all union workers and corporate would ahve to jump through more hoops than they care to to have someone fired for delivering one wrong package.

Yeah, I didn't know they were unionized. So yeah, I guess they can pretty much do whatever they want then. No wonder our packages arrive the way that they do, either not at all, to the wrong place, beat up, etc. Really, why would any driver care, when they basically have job security in any situation? Just find it irritating that nearly every shipping transaction I ever done has ended up with some kind of snag, except for Canada Post. I just don't see how it's such a difficult job...read address from package...drive to address...drop off package at STATED address...I mean, I know they try to be efficient and quick with their routes, but no matter how you slice it, it's not rocket science. If I couldn't trust someone could find an address, I wouldn't feel confident in their ability to do much else either.

I feel ya. I guess my opinions are a little biased being that I'm a supervisor for the largest shipping company in the world. Even I get frustrated w/ shipping stuff w/ the company I work for lol.

Hell now. If a 570 showed up at my place, I would definitely seek out the original owner. It's worth a lot, wouldn't want to deprive somebody of the awesome.

I'll do an unboxing and take pics tomorrow .
omg im glad for you!
Honest people are the best. Many people would have just said, hey a free video card, I'll sell it.

Really happy for you.

And looking forward to those unboxing pics!

You should buy the people who were honest a 12 pack of beer or something for their honesty.

Yesterday I had a big bottle of prescription painkillers mistakenly left at my doorstep.

It was literally thousands of dollars worth, but I brought them to their rightful owner. There are some things that you just can't deliver to the wrong address.

Op I am happy you got your card,I was wondering what the outcome would be.
