Your complex doesn't have a security camera? Ask the landlord/front desk...maybe they do.

If Asus didn't pay for insurance coverage, I'd sue them for negligence.

Take it to small claims court, (or at least threaten it). They will settle before it hits and replace the card.
THIS i agree.

sorry to hear about that. I'm glad my neighbors at my apartment are nice, because I had my entire build from newegg sitting outside my apartment door for hours before I realized it was there.

When I have a package coming, I try and stay home. Not to mention I keep track of the tracking website to see when it was delivered. Because when they deliver it, they mark it on their system and it's updated right away. Basically he would have known when it was delivered.

UPS/Fedex aren't required to knock. They deliver your package and they leave, simple as that. It's up to the person who delivers it if they ring the door bell or not.

I do feel bad for the OP, but if he was home all day... He should at least have looked outside a few times. I guess lesson learned OP.
I don't know about you, but I don't open my door every 10 minutes like a paranoid maniac because a package is supposed to be coming... It's complete bs to expect that of anyone.

To simply come in here and say "OP's fault /thread" is quite rude. If that's all you're going to say, why bother in the first place?

Asus shipped a $300+ item back without insurance or signature validation... Negligence lies with Asus RMA, and not the OP. It's likely that the package never even made it to his door. The Fedex guy is probably enjoying today's trophy.

Who said every 10 mins? Let's not come off looking like an ass now.
I said why didn't he check every hour or so since he was at home.

And I can say whatever I want, this is an open forum, not to mention I haven't violated any rules. & why in the world would the guy that's delivering the package list it as marked but not deliver it? Sounds kind of stupid to me.

He saw it was from an electronics retailer and decided he doesnt get paid enough? His son needed a new graphics card? He was bored and wanted some amusement?

Pick one or make up your own.

Why in the world would someone making 32$ an hour steal a package? When I worked at UPS, that was what their delivery people were getting paid. I highly doubt that he doesn't get paid enough.

Stuff "fall out" of the UPS/Fed Ex truck all the time.
