2500k Asus p8p56 oc help

Thread Starter
Hey, just doing some oc on the 2500k (what a beast ) and decided to move from 4.6 to 4.8. These are the settings I have so far, tested about 20 minutes of small fft, and more to go for now. I cannot drop the vcore further or else it will bsod within 14 seconds.

Anything else I can do to improve this oc? Appriciate it

1.4V + vdrop for 4.8ghz is pretty good... if you want 5ghz, other people need 1.45-1.50vcore

one thing you could do is play around with BCLK.. i have mine set to 102, just for fun

you would also want to test with LinX. It stress the CPU more(more power and vcore usage on mine). An hour on this would probably guaranteed yo ustability

I was fiddling around with lcc between extreme and ultra high. I found that Extreme lcc tends to overshoot the vcore in the cpu-z (had 1.408), and on ultra high lcc it showed less (1.396). The point is, is it better to put on extreme lcc with lower bios vcore, or high vcore with ultra high lcc?
