Toshiba Regza 46" 46RV535U

Anyone have an idea of how much I should ask for this? I've had it for ~ 2 years and it is still in excellent condition and works perfectly. I would like to sell it and upgrade to a 60".

Thanks for the help!

Where are you selling it? CL, eBay, here?

Not sure, tbh. I'll probably try to here and list it on other forums. Ebay kills you with seller fees (like 10% of the total + listing fees) so I don't know if I want to go that route. My local CL community is EXTREMELY small but I could definitely try. Whichever way I could sell it for the most I will give it a shot. lol

You probably paid a lot for the TV. However, keep in mind that to most people, it's simply a 46" TV. They don't know model numbers, brands, or what inputs they need. Therefore, you could fairly ask for about $600-$700 for the TV, but expect to receive low offers of $450-$590. The general populus sees this TV relative to what they could buy a 1080p Insignia for at Best Buy. However, you get the right buyer, you can win big.

I believe I paid around $1,200 for the TV brand new so if I could get $600-$700, that would be fantastic. Do you think CL, Ebay, or forums would be the best way to sell it? It's a wonderful tv and I love it, but I'd like to have something bigger after having this for a while.

Craigslist for sure. Don't try to ship a TV - It's a costly nightmare.

Good luck with the sale!

New 46inch Samsung/LG/Panasonic LCD go for around 700-800 dollars. Even though the difference between new and old models are minimal, your old TV is worth maybe 450-500 at best.

However, I think you can still sell it for 550 dollars and still get warm reception from buyers.

Good luck with the sale!
