Can you tell the difference between ddr3 and ddr2 ram speed/performance wise in games

Thread Starter
Or not really? My motherboard and ram are both here now but I need ppl to put it together because I'm an r-tard. I also don't know how to take the H50 off my current motherboard without hurting it so its best if someone else who knows what they're doing to do it.

I think the pins/gold strip tells the difference. I'm not sure. Didn't really look at the stick beside looking at the product label

DDR3 is faster, consumes less power than DDR2 rams, and comes in great timings than DDR2.

Oh and if you compared the prices of DDR2 & DDR3, you'll find that DDR2 is about +$15 on average.

Check the serial number on it... it should say "4gb herpaderp 1066 DDR 688583834"

Or something along those lines.

Depends on speed/timings. i.e. 800 4-4-4-12, 1600 8-8-8-24 = equal.
