Ok, so if you were following a previous thread, it turns out that, long story short, I was propelled into nomination for being my school's Prom King... all while I was at a robotics competition. I had no clue about any of this until I got home, and I was pretty surprised by it.

So, while I was away and unaware, they set up everything for me; they filled out my forms, wrote signatures, and got my paperwork in. The way our prom king/queen system works, the winners are decided by who raises the most money for charity. And the charity my friends chose was Child's Play (And, by the way, on the first day, we already raised an estimated $100-$150). I know that some people hold 24 hour video game marathons with some theme (Like unlock all achievements on L4D or Red vs Blue TF2 or so).

How does that stuff work? And how should I set up a LAN party. I know that some people here are adamant hardcore PC fans, and others really don't care too much about console, but I'd also strongly consider having console LAN and competition along side the PC rigs, so that the marathon would attract a larger audience. I was thinking we could setup stuff in a school gym or a large sized classroom. I know the school can handle power, but the problem is that we can't hold one for 24 hours for logistical reasons. Trust me, I've planned lock ins and lan parties at my school for fundraisers, and we can stay latest at midnight because hiring a police officer for security (required) costs lots of moolah.

Thanks guys!
