Now that I'm actually priming...

so for a while I've just been goin off of idle temps. Well I had a i7 920 @ 4Ghz that would have a standard load temp of 45-50 and peak at 63C. I now have a i7 950 @ 4.3ghz that under standar load is 54C and peaks at 72C. I dunno if its the chip, but maybe I did something wrong with the new chip. I might check back into further lapping the cpu.

Have you reseated it yet?
What are your voltages? 4.0 voltages =/= 4.3 voltages. Or temperatures, for that matter.

yes I am watercooling, I've got the rasa kit. voltages at 4ghz were 1.35v, voltages at 4.3ghz are 1.4v. I have tried resetting the bios and booting at 3.07ghz @ 1.25v and temps were 2C cooler. I'll check if I have any other TIM lying around to try out.
