I don't think Triple channel has anything to do with the memory module, other than when matched in a kit they are guarenteed to function at the same specs. I think 1.7v is risky to run on 1156/1366, not bad for an older 775 motherboard that supports DDR3.

Considering you can get some Corsair 1600 2x2gb sets for like $30 after MIR, this is a pretty crappy deal.
