Reaching 100% Performance for my 8600GT SLi?

By meaning 100% Performance I dont mean to play any game on max FPS,
I mean making this cards playing at their maximum performance without overclocking. I have two of them and SLi Mode is enabled.

My 8600GT has a 512MB DDR2 memory
Core Clock 540MHz (800Mhz data ratio)
Shader Clock 1188Mhz
Memory 400Mhz

Bios Version 60.84.54.00.88

Got enough info about these cards? OK.
Next step is my gear:

Case: Cooler Master Mystique 610
Motherboard (GIGABYTE n650 SLi DS4L)
CPU:Intel Core Quad q6600 @ 2.4GHz
RAM: 2GB DDR2
Power Supply: XILENCE Gaming Edition 750 Watts modular
Graphics card mentioned above
HDD 500GB (does not matter huh?)

My Goal: Making these cards working at 100%
Once I bought it, It had a crappy 400Watt PSU (VERY Low for SLI), outdated drivers, outdated bios.

I updated everything and bought a 750Watt power supply. I saw some 800 or 850 watts we're cheaper for a reason.

My CPU is more than enough, 2GB ram should do the trick. SLi Is enabled.
And I aknowledge that there are games that does not are SLi friendly like the latest NFS Hot pursuit 2010. so we all SLi users are awaiting for the supported patch.

I looked for new bios for the graphics card, found nothing. people say this is risky.

By the way, Is it dangerous to convert a 8600gt to a 8600GTS Flashing new bios?

What drivers are you using?
The newest 266.66, or anything about 258.xx started loosing performance. It is bvetter to use the older driver for your cards.
Also, if you want to get 100% performance out of the cards, Overclock you memory as high as possible. The VRAM on an 8600GT is a HUGE bottleneck.
DO NOT flash an 8600GT to an 8600GTS.

Source(s): I used to run 8600GT SLI.

Thank you sir!

yes im using the latest drivers.. i check nvidia site every month. i didnt knew 266 started to ruin performance!

I tried overclocking, Its a hog dude. the pc startes to f** up after it reaches 60c.
I will try applying the thermal paste, because i opened the gpus they have it weared off.

Previously Overclocking settings was 450mhz(from 400) memory
600 (from 540 core)
And shaders was related to core clock..

Can you recomend me some settings?

Core 540MHz
shader 1188mhz
Memory 400Mhz

GPU 1 Temp= idle 48c INGAME 56c
GPU 2 Temp= idle 44 INGAME 50c

also, it freezes sometimes on overclocking!
When i reach 500MHz memory for example.
