yes it is happening with all the drives. When the pc starts up it says that no disk is detected. When i get inside the bios on the sata configuration on the advance settings i see all my drives with their respective names. I can see them also on the ez flash first screen where it gives me the choice to boot from them. I think if they were dead any of the drives it wouldn't be shown on the sata configuration. Is that correct ?

i did tried optimized defaults also yes. i think i tried every possible solution for the last 3 hours so far with no result

Have you tried using different sata ports? As which ports are you using the raid sata6, regular sata 6 or the sata 3 ports? Also try clearing the cmos and see what happens then.

Yeah that is right, boy that doesn't sound very good does it?It should boot right up from the dvd drive or a usb drive. With the drive at the top of the order and set as the first drive to boot from it should start up.Since it is not working from dvd or usb it sounds like a faulty board.

i did tried all the ports. i tried the marvel ports (navy blue) with marvel controler enabled and disabled. i tried the first 4 ports (sata 3.0 gb/s ports) and the regular sata 6 gb/s ports still the same result nothing. i started also thinking that maybe its a faulty motherboard no disk detection not booting from usb nor cd. i cant think anything else.i did all the updates to bios eliminating the double boot problem and the sata ports and usb are still not working.
