About to pull the trigger on a 2500K

Thread Starter
So I've been running my old Q6600 for about 4 years, and its about time to upgrade.

Been waiting for AMD's BD but don't think I want to wait a couple more months.

Here's what I'm looking at getting.

MSI P67A-GD65 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

I can get it all to my house for about $550. Thoughts?

I've never been a fan of SLI or Crossfire honestly, so I dont think it will be an issue for me.

Even with this i can help you i have the Scythe Mugen 2 rev b (or b rev 2) and on 5Ghz stressed (prime95) my max temp is 74c on the hottest core.

Other people seem to prefer the hyper 212+

I'm using the NH d14. It's a monster but does the job very well. If you are on a budget go for the 212+. Cheap and handles some decent overclocks.

Also I just checked the links, the board you linked is sold out on newegg.
