The RAM your looking at is a very good choice, the only other option I would consider if I were you is this one which is the exact same but with tighter 8-8-8-24 timings as opposed to 9-9-9-24 for only $30 more. I can't tell you if that difference will be worth the cost difference to you for how you want to use it and you may even be able to lower the timings by increasing voltage on the cheaper one, but for me I would rather pay a little more up front to get the guaranteed performance and treat myself to a little faster RAM. Based on the fact that you are going with 8GB instead of the more budget oriented 4GB I might guess that the same idea of paying a little more upfront to have better RAM that won't need to be replaced for longer might hold true for you as well.
