thanks for pointing that out...even makes me lean towards the asrock even more lol

Radier's set up is nice.....5ghz is no joke.

Look forward to hearing how your asrock builds turn out!

I'm excited - look forward to hearing about yours. I'm probably only aiming for a mild 4.5GHz

Yeah I was hoping for something around that too with the thermalright silver arrow. 4.5ghz would make me happy and seems pretty reasonable with the 2500k

I'm going for the Hyper 212+ - it is cheap and highly recommended around here. Surprisingly the cooler that radier used isn't one of the best from what I've read.

I've read lots of good stuff about the hyper 212 and for the price its great. I just figured I go with the SA because it's the next step up.

I almost talked myself into buying the ASUS P8P67-Pro from Microcenter today...but talked myself out. They have the board for $189.99 and the 2500k processor for $179.99. Tax is brutal...almost $40 on the entire build.

That's good you were able to hold back like that. Waiting a few more days or what not is worth it when you consider you'll have the rig for quite some time. It sucks there isn't a microcenter around where i'm at. I'm stuck buying the the 2500k for 228.99 on newegg. They can tax me! lol

I wonder how much longer it's going to be till asrock is released....

Right now I would pass on the Asus. I just spent 3 hours trying to get CF to work properly and if I pushed the GPU to far into the PCIe slot it wouldn't boot with graphics and the card's fan would run on max. I still have the B2 model, so maybe this will not be the case with the B3 when I get it this week. There have been moments where I just wanted to pull it apart and return it to MC and go back to x58. If the new model does the same, I am just going back to x58, regardless of how much I like the 2600K and being able to do 5Ghz.

That sounds horrible. I hope that gets fixed with B3. That's something that just shouldn't happen. I'm happy in my decision to go with asrock and think i would even i prices were identical.
