44c idle i5 2500k?

Thread Starter
Jusy built my new rig and when I go into the BIOS it says my cpu is at 44c; surely that is higher than normal?
Pretty sure I installed the hyper212+ correctly,
Using the AC MX-2 Thermal paste
What's wrong with it?

I would suggest using another program or two to check temps. RealTemp and HWmonitor are the two that I use.

real temp http://www.overclock.net/downloads/3...l#post12522270

hwmonitor http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Temp do seem a little high, maybe try re-seating the CPU cooler. What voltage do you have it set at?

Also if you didnt know already there is a CM 212+ thread here that might be worth browsing through http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...plus-club.html

Temps are fine man..
Bios puts like a 60% load on cpu IIRC.. Higher temps than idle are normal in bios
