Regarding the Kryos XT.
I had it in a all in one loop with GPU blocks and rads.
In comparison to the EK Supreme HF Full Nickel which I am running now it is highly restrictive and strongly disrecommended in full loops.
Also bare in mind that it is a german company which does not value the blocks esthetics so be sure it will be scratched up due to rough factory processing. There standard response to angry costumers with their scratched blocks is that as long as the cooling performance is not corrupted the block will not be exchanged by them.
Also the mounting system is terrible ...if you are inexperienced you will not be able to mount the block perfectly the first time ...the EK´s mounting system is not great too but far superior to the Kryos´.
Ultimately for now and in the future the EK Supreme HF is the best choice as it is very adaptable to every WC situation has far less restriction , better mounting system, will have no esthetic defficiencies out of the box and has jet blades to individualize the flow.
Chunky has mentioned the 925 version of the Kryos ..this version is just specialized for the i7 960.
Tempreture enhancments of 2-3 degrees will not be the case though.
Maximum of 0.5 degrees better temps ..but that again is only achieved with even more restriction.
And that is the main reason why the EK Supreme HF is just a better cooler because it accomplishes to achieve nearly the same temps as the Kryos XT with much much less restriction. To be precise (info taken from Vapors reveiw)..at medium PSI
The EK Supreme HF achieves 1.60 GPM as the Kryos only seems to be getting 1.25GPM which is also fine but when other blocks, radiators etc are added the Kryos´flowrate far decreases under 1 GPM which is the required minimum flowrate everyone should try to maintain. This is not the case with the EK.
Clear win for the EK!!!!
