Thread Starter
im currently using stock cooling on my 15 2500k but want to go for an aftermarket cooler so i can get a more interesting overclock on the go ive more or less decided to go with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus (seen good review and a mate uses it on his 1156 i5) but before i buy i was just wondering if theres anything better for about the same price?

only other cooler come close is ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 price wise but its not better then Cooler Master Hyper 212+ though. can't think any other cooler with same performance as 212+ unless you pay more.

Corsair A70, and Xigmatek Dark Knight after rebate (on newegg)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-029-_-Product

Any of them are good for their price. 212+ is probably the best option though.

For inexpensive coolers, Arctic Cooling Pro Rev 2 as was already said. Xigmatec Rifle 1283 is better than the AC at cooling quads. Sunbeam CR-CCTF 120 mm Core-Contact Freezer is also good and it comes with a fan control or rheostat if you prefer that term. I have used all of these personally and they cool really well for the price.

After everyone has made their suggestions, I would just look around and find one that is on sale or clearance. They all work about the same and they all are around the same price. One of them is bound to be on sale.
