Madcatz Cyborg RAT 5 drivers not installing

Hi everyone,

I just bought a new madcatz rat 5 mice and for the last hour i've tried to make it work...

I've plugged it into my pc, in different usb slots and i always get the message that windows could not install the drivers for the mice.My computer sees it has a cyborg rat 5 but fails to install them.

I can't move the mice at all and when I insert the driver disc that comes with it, it doesn't detect the mice either.

Also tried on my brother's laptop, same problem.

Anyone got any tips I should try before returning it to the store? or is it DOA?

try it on one more pc and see what happens then return it, all mice should allow basic functionality when plugged in before a proper driver is installed especially windows 7.

download the drivers off the website while using your old mouse. then start the installation of the drivers and when it prompts you then plug in the mouse and it should let you click the "next" step and identify. Otherwise I had similar issues so try rebooting your computer and as it boots, plug in your mouse. That was the only way i could get my Cyborg keyboard to register and install the drivers.
