yeah when you get to the screen displaying your drives that you could select to install on, dont delete the partition and recreate it or format it (this is what i would do in xp) just select your current installation as the place to install to and it should say but you already have an installation we will put your current files into this place and it does itl do you program files and the entire users folder as well as a few other bits but that covers system files desktop and my docs gl

Did a fresh install of Windows 7 and the problem remains. I've read in some places that it may be because of newer drivers? Maybe I should revert the drivers to an earlier build...but which one would be best?

I'm kind of concerned that the card might be dead still, but I don't understand why I'm still getting display from only having my monitors hooked up to my 9800...

yeah sometimes newer drivers will kick it out of balance, ive had a few issues sometimes upgrading, filehippo.com should have a copy of the old ones... and just try a few go back a couple of releases
