what cpu is best for my rampage III extreme

im trying to decide which one to get, my rampage III extreme just arrived and i have 12 gbs of patriot ram. im thinking of getting an i7-980x, but is it really worth it? im a more of a gamer person

heres the photo. just tryna decide

This board can handle any LGA1366 CPU out their with ease.

just grab a i7 950 and OC like hell

I like your board. it is the successor to mine

980X isnt much for gamer's...

it's a hell of a nice chip.. but it is not worth it for you to get if you game.

a 920, 930, 950 is all u need

For gaming. An i7 920/930/950 will suffice. You'll barely notice the difference between a 920 and a 980x in gaming.

their is NO difference at all.. to any degree in gaming no matter how CPU Dependant the game is..

Benching or e peen are the only ways that this can be justified over a bloomfield.

If u can. locate and purchase the 920. it's IMC is better then the 930 and 950. I.E better overclocking is some cases..
